Phi Mu Delta, 1964-1965

As far as I can determine, the pictures on these pages were taken in 1964 and 1965.  I seem to recall taking a lot of pictures, but these are all I have now. In some of them, the photo paper has not survived well.

What we see is what we got.

When younger people ask me for advice... Hey, it could happen!  Anyhow, if it ever does, I'll say, "Take more pictures!".  [Not: "Take more selfies!"]

The two pictures on this page were taken May, 1964.

The Chapter Room

trio

David Dunford, Peter Ackoff, and Dan Seward.

Pete and Danny are watching something on TV.  Dave is catching up on world affairs.  I'm pretty sure those are donuts between them.

Apropos of almost nothing, I remember that there was a donut shop on Mass. Ave.  The donuts were six for seventy-five cents, a dozen for a buck twenty-five.  They were so good.  That was in roughly 1965 B.C. [before cholesterol].

I'm struggling a little with the geometry here.  The open door leads (doesn't it?) to the nook where Hal's soft-drink concession used to stand.  So what is the gizmo that is visible through the doorway?

Also, there is writing on the inside of the door.  What was that about?

TV

From the left: David Tweed, Al Russell, John Muller, Georgia Wagner, Hal Korstvedt, Bob Frankel, Frank Tolve, Peter Cukor.  I believe that is Jimmy Sutton's head at the bottom.  [Ed Iseri dissents, saying it looks more like Mike Scott.  How about a third opinion?]

Incompetence Alert!

My memory being what it is, I can't put names to all the faces in these pictures.  Please send any corrections, jeers, snickers, and brickbats to...
