Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls

Debra and I had never been to Niagara Falls before, so we took advantage of being in the vicinity.  This one is a little bigger than Multnomah Falls, which we'd visited as part of Columbia River cruise at the 2005 convention in Portland.

I believe that Niagara Falls are taller than Iguassu Falls, which I had seen in 1999 on the last Gesneriad Research Foundation tour.  Iguassu Falls is wider.  Way wider -- it seems to go on forever.  I don't know which has more water going over it, but I will find out.  Anyway, they are two very impressive structures.

On a clear day, you can see Toronto.

I like this picture because it looks like the waterfall is suspended in the air.

You can see the pedestrian walkway winding down the ridge of the hill in front of the falls.
